Abstract

Процес релігійної та політичної трансформації Англії в середині XVII століття неможливо адекватно інтерпретувати без залучення концептуального апарату теорії конфесіоналізації, розробленої Хайнцом Шиллінгом та Вольфгангом Райнгардом. Конфесіоналізація, яка в європейському контексті охоплює період між Аугсбурзьким миром (1555) та закінченням Тридцятилітньої війни (1648), описує паралельні процеси формування чітких церковних структур, доктринальних систем та механізмів соціального дисциплінування.
